Yeah! You’ve decided to check out what Firefly Berries is all about. Here’s a little information to make your visit the best it can be!
What to wear?? This is nature, so be sure to dress for the weather. Comfortable shoes and clothes and sunscreen are always recommended. High heels probably aren’t the best choice! If there has been a lot of rain, some rain boots or old shoes might be a good idea. Although we do have straw or grass between all of our fruit rows, this is nature after all… and you can get dirty!
Do I need to bring a mask?? Masks are not required at this time. We recognize that the risks are much lower when we are outside, however, we highly recommend having a mask with just in case social distancing cannot be maintained easily. In addition, we ask and expect all customers to help us maintain 6 foot social distancing. We reserve the right to ask people to wear a mask or to leave the farm if they are not following safety guidelines. As a business, we will also do our best to keep numbers down in the field, spacing parties out so that we can maintain social distancing, keeping everyone comfortable and safe.
Can we sample berries in the field?? Due to Covid-19 we will not be allowing customers to eat while they pick berries. We understand that this may be a challenge for some, but our field managers will remind you of this rule if it is not being followed. If following this rule is not possible for you because of the age of those in your party, we strongly recommend you purchase our berries online or at the Rochester Farmers Market. Once you are done picking, however, we will have picnic areas set up around the farm for you to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
