Firefly Berries began in 2010 when Tonya & Dean bought the existing Sterling Fruit Farm from Lois & Lowell Sterling. Although farming has changed a lot in the last ten years, we still continue to be a small, family-run business. We employ very few workers who are not family. Whether it be pruning, hand weeding, picking berries, communicating with customers, or dyeing yarn & packaging orders, we value what it means to work together as a family–through the good days and the challenging days.

Our Mission: We believe very strongly in not only providing quality fruit, but also taking care of the soil and the planet. Because of this we do not spray any chemicals anywhere on our farm. We are not certified organic, but we grow in an organic and sustainable manner– using cover crops, crop rotation, green manure and natural compost to keep the soil healthy.
