Description
Debbie’s Wrap features the simple beauty of seed stitch surrounded by an uncomplicated yet beautiful cable and bobble motif. Together these stitches create an elegant and sophisticated wrap. Although the pattern may seem challenging at first, it quickly becomes both rhythmic and easily memorizable, coaxing knitters on to the next bobble row.
This pattern is knit using a US 5 (3.75 mm) 24 inch or larger circular needle. It can also be knit with long straight needles. Gauge is 20 stitches and 25 rows over 4 inches of knitting the 12 row body pattern. It can be knit with a single strand of DK weight yarn or by holding two strands of fingering weight yarn together to achieve the gauge listed.
Debbie’s Wrap includes both written instructions as well as video tutorials on the left/right cross stitches and the bobble stitch featured in the design.
The green sample pictured was knit with Berry Fun Yarns Yak Sock and used four full skeins. Final measurements were 16 1/2 inches wide by 64 1/2 inches long. The pink sample pictured was knit with Berry Fun Yarns Yak Silk DK and used 3.75 skeins of yarn. Final measurements were 14 inches wide by 74 inches long. The model wearing it is 5 foot 8 inches tall.
