Description
The Miles Above Sock pattern features a textured front panel with a simple stockinette back of the leg. Left and right cross stitches combine with a garter panel to provide lots of interest on the front/top of the sock, while the stockinette on the back brings comfort and ease with the familiar knit stitch. The perfect pattern for when you need both a distraction and solace, it is my hope that the Miles Above sock pattern will bring you as much joy and comfort as it did me.
This pattern is knit using a US 1 (2.25 mm) needle (either a circular needle for the magic loop method or DPNs). It features both written and charted directions, as well as a heel flap and gusset heel construction, and video tutorials for the heel (both DPN and magic loop methods) and the right/left cross stitches. Gauge is 32 stitches and 44 rows over 4 inches in stockinette stitch. It is knit in fingering weight yarn.
The samples pictured were knit with Berry Tough Sock yarn and depending on foot size, used between 60-100 grams of yarn.
