Description
There is nothing like a cozy, warm blanket to bring comfort and safety on a cold winter’s night. Snuggle close features the squishy fabric of fingering weight held double combined with simple garter rows and the occasional fun lace section to make both an enjoyable knit and a yummy finished object.
Love to purchase mini skeins or create scrappy projects? With a single strand of the same color held throughout, along with 24 or 25 twenty gram mini skeins or scraps, you will not only use up a whole lot of yarn, but you will create a one of a kind colorful blanket too.
This pattern is knit using a US 6 (4 mm) 40 inch circular needle. Gauge listed in pattern is 17 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches and is unblocked. Finished and unblocked blanket is 48 by 50 inches, but these dimensions may change after blocking, depending on the fiber content used to create the blanket.
Pattern is written for either 24 or 25 different colored sections, however the options of mixing and matching scraps of all amounts is only limited by one’s imagination.
Yarn requirements – 24 or 25 twenty gram fingering weight mini skeins (80-87 yards each) [or an equivalent amount of scrap yarn] plus 500 grams (approximately 2200 yards) of a main color in fingering weight that will be held double.
A chart, as well as written directions, is included for the lace repeat. There are also several video tutorials referenced, including one on how to change colors in order to keep the sides of the blanket neat and tidy, as well as techniques for weaving in ends.
This listing is for a virtual downloadable pattern that will be emailed to you once your order is confirmed.
