Follow Along Sock Pattern

Description

The Follow Along Sock pattern features a combination of knits and purls, along with slipped stitches and stockinette stitch rows, to create a sock with interesting texture that looks great in any type of yarn… not to mention it is fun to knit! An added benefit is once you set up the pattern repeat, it is quickly memorizable and easy to follow. As written, the textured pattern is only pictured on the front/top of the sock, but could easily be knit around the entire leg if desired.

This pattern is knit using a US 1 (2.25 mm) needle (either a circular needle for the magic loop method or DPNs). It features both written and charted directions, as well as a heel flap and gusset heel construction, and  video tutorials for the heel (both DPN and magic loop methods) and the right/left cross stitches. Gauge is 32 stitches and 44 rows over 4 inches in stockinette stitch.  It is knit in fingering weight yarn.

The blue sample pictured was knit with Berry Tough Sock yarn,  and depending on foot size, used between 60-100 grams of yarn.
